About the Dot Grid style
Dot Grid resamples the elevation model around the trail into a coarse matrix and draws every cell as a dot whose size follows the real elevation there. Higher ground becomes larger dots, valleys shrink to pinpricks, and the result is a tactile, Swiss-minimal relief map. The route is traced as a line of accent-red dots over the field.
Near-black dots on warm cream keep it quiet and modern. It rewards close viewing, where the grid resolves into terrain, and holds up as a calm texture from across the room.
