About the Horizon style
Horizon sets a single bold sun disc in an empty sky, partly eclipsed by the actual skyline of the massif around the trail. That silhouette is not the trail's up-and-down profile: it is the true west-to-east skyline, projected from the elevation model around the route, so the mountain shape is the one you would recognise from the valley floor.
Three flat colours, generous negative space and oversized type carry the whole composition. It is the most graphic style in the range, closer to a mid-century travel poster than to a map, and it suits summit routes and big-relief country best, where the ridge has a shape worth showing.
