Lower Faces is a 2.3-mile loop in Northwestern Wyoming, climbing 370 feet between 6,539 and 6,808 feet above sea level. The steepest pitch reaches 21 percent, against an average of 161 feet of gain per mile. On our gain-and-distance scale it falls in the easiest band. The nearest town is Jackson, 9 miles away.

The area

Bridger–Teton National Forest is located in western Wyoming, United States. The forest consists of 3.4 million acres (14,000 square kilometers), making it the third largest National Forest outside Alaska.
