Pennine Way (Hawes to Tan Hill) is a 16.1-mile one-way route in Yorkshire Dales National Park, climbing 2,762 feet between 737 and 2,348 feet above sea level. The steepest pitch reaches 18 percent, against an average of 172 feet of gain per mile. The 16.1 miles is the one-way distance of the drawn route. The trail

The Pennine Way is a National Trail in England, with a small section in Scotland. The trail stretches for 268 miles (431 km) from Edale, in the northern Derbyshire Peak District, north through the Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland National Park and ends at Kirk Yetholm, just inside the Scottish border.
